Ringing and watching birds on the beautiful island Jomfruland

Join us for a morning trip to participate in the ringing of birds between 07.00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.
Jomfruland outside Kragerø has 322 species of birds registered up to now and is the place in Norway with highest number of bird species registered.
It has been driven standardized counting and ringing for 30 years on this island.
Jomfruland is part of the Gea Norvegica Geological Park due to its important position in European geology and in 2017 parts of the island also became a National park. Findings indicate that there were people on this island 1,800 years BC. Today there are about 60 residents. It is a very popular place for tourists in the summer season.
